The gorgeous Lauren Cosenza (aka LDiva) of Divalicious blog asked me to take headshots of her as she needed one for Cosmo magazine where she will soon be a beauty contributor!  I took about 200 photos and like every photographer, hoped that there would be that ONE great one.  The One that would make her very happy.  Well…she loved FOUR!  And that made me swoon.  🙂

She put a poll on her blog to get her loyal follower’s opinions and it’s still a neck-and-neck horserace!  But not for me.  I have my favorite and here it is:

I recently had the pleasure of photographing 5 lovely ladies visiting NYC from California.  They came to town to run around a la Sex and the City complete with shoe shopping, Cosmos, and night time fun in the Meatpacking District.

One of them was celebrating her big 5-0 and at one point while I was photographing them on the sidewalk they started shrieking with delight – because they looked over and realized that the apartment they rented for their stay was number “50” – so that became the inspiration for the collage below.

They had a ball and did Sarah Jessica proud.  I’m glad to have been a part of their special occasion!

Right now the weather in New York City is wreaking havoc on fashion decisions.  Girls on the subway wear tank tops and strappy sandals next to girls cozied up in turtlenecks and boots.  Confusion abounds.  But it doesn’t matter what is on my feet because I’m walking on air!

Food & Wine Magazine contacted me to use this photograph in a Christmas article about chef and restauranteur Scott Conant (apparently he’s a fan of Ferdinado’s Foccaceria in Carroll Gardens Brooklyn).  I gave them permission (happily!) and can’t wait to see it in the December issue!
